Hello I have some pics from a game played last week where I took my new WW2 loadout for a spin.

What do you guys think?

All the kit comes from Soldier of Fortune (as I am new to this forum i have no idea what kind of rep they have, but they helped me with the picking of the kit) and the AEG is a VFC BAR.

I painted the orange diamond and "2" myself on the helmet.

This is my first real attempt at full on WW2 impression in one go (although I have a Panzer Grenadier load-out also, which was built up over time)

thanks,-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

looking good mate, webby has a vfc bar so im sure he'll compare notes on that with you. most people are at ' operation husky ' this weekend so its a bit quiet on here at the moment. im sure they will comment when they are back.

thanks for the replies, I must admit I am quite looking forward going to my first proper WW2 airsoft event (I think my safest bet is "the Hill" which is the site I am closest to).

It was a mate who put me onto this forum knowing my love of all things WW2 (I tried unsucessfully to get some the regular players at my local private site to start a WW2 impression, but no luck).

Just had a British officer's outfit from Sanjay which i thought I'd post some pics to. The images have been photoshopped a bit as they came out quite brown. The material and tailoring are pretty good but there are annoying little things like rank pips not sewn on straight and button holes being just a bit too small for genuine brass buttons. Also the leather cap band looks very cheap and needs to be treated or replaced (what is it with Replicaters and leather?)-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

They're hindus... hence its not cow leather... ;) (I have seen straps for sale at militaria fairs, so no stress)

Hmmm... the colour should be brown... not green.

Rank insignia should probably be metal anyway...

The pattern looks okay from what I can see...

Remember the cloth should be Barathea (i.e. wool)

I've probably over-egged the colour a bit. It's more brownish in reality. He says it's Barathea but I think it's probably a wool mix. Blimey, do I have to get matching pips now as well as matching buttons? If so then I'm demoting to 2nd Lt.

The pips are pretty generic... but yes... they're metal.
Like this:

Don't forget your collar dogs as well. ;)

Buttons can be GS or regimental... GS are fine... but I've got the proper regimental ones on mine... I was lucky to get them. :)
